Blog Post Week 1 and 2

Since returning from half term we have been busy starting our new topic and getting ready for our times table quiz.

This term we are learning all about the digestive system, and in DT we have started to plan our granola bar. Today we taste tasted lots of iron-rich options to include, as well as trying honey as a healthy replacement for sugar.

We have been showing our confidence and resilience in our times table quiz this week, and are really proud of ourselves.

We have started a new English journey of Myths and have been making actions to retell the story of the Chinese New Year.

For RE, to demonstrate our virtues of Faith, Hope and Love,  we created stained glass window artwork depicting the story of the anointing of David. Mrs Daly has been showing staff and Governors, and parents our beautiful work – you can see our all creations below.

We are feeling confident about converting hours into minutes, days into hours and years into months with our Maths learning.

Excitingly, we were able to take part in some fun World Empathy Day activities doing an online workshop with Hannah Gold, who is the author of current class book - The Last Bear.

During our REACH activity we have been back in the garden, focusing on being stewards of the earth, preparing the beds for more planting for our plant sales and tasting some edible flowers.
