Young Carers
A young carer is a young person who cares, unpaid, for a person who has any type of physical or mental illness, physical and/or mental disability or misuses substances such as alcohol or drugs.
Gloucestershire Young Carers is a charity to support young people in our community who through no fault of their own are caring for someone they love. We fortunate enough that they visited St Joseph's and delivered a whole school assembly telling us all about their charity and what a young carer is. We then had a surprise visit from H the Bear - he really does care!
