Look Who's Talking!

At St Joseph's, the children participated in the annual 'Look Who's Talking' event. The children were set the oracy task of talking for two minutes, on a subject of their choice, and present it to the rest of the children in their class. We were blown away by the children's confidence with this, and the children performed so well that we even managed to have our very own finalist! I would like to say a huge congratulations to Teddy, who managed to talk his way to the finals and presented his speech to a much larger audience at Gloucester Guildhall. There were even REAL judges! Well done Teddy!

Gloucestershire Photo competition

In March, The Cheltenham Camera Club invited all Gloucestershire county schools to take part in their annual photo contest. The children at St. Joseph's submitted amazing photos with many different themes, but the most popular was beauty found in the natural world. Please see below.

Sixteen children from St. Joseph's entered the contest and six of the children's photos were included in an AV presentation at the awards ceremony. Harriet received a special commendation for her photo of Lydstep Caverns. Harriet was presented with her award by the Mayor of Cheltenham and representatives of the Cheltenham Arts Council and Cheltenham Roundtable.
